Quake & Bake (2001)

from Virtual 45RPM #I by NIL

/

about

This piece was transmitted to Nil via shortwave by ex-cosmonaut Mikoli Volkoff. It was written at Volkfoff's hideout in a deep recess within the rocky crust under Novaya Zemlya while, at a nearby test range, the Soviets detonated a half dozen Tsar bombs. Despite these extreme hardships and trying circumstances Volkoff could still pen a catchy, upbeat ditty. Recorded by Nil on January 10, 2001 during the Soft Egg Wrapping session.
